由於直接由 USB 連接和供電，USB Solo 可以滿足從電腦上控制模擬合成器的需求。不需要MIDI接口，也不需要外部電源，因此線材的混亂程度降到了最低。但 USB Solo 仍然保持著 Kenton 著名的 tuning 穩定性，以及由於內部電路，CV 和輔助輸出的全刻度範圍。

CV 輸出可以在 1V/Oct 、Hz/Volt 或 1.2V/Oct 下運行。scaling 和 tuning 都可以調整，用以搭配任何類型的合成器。Gate Output 可以在幾個不同的電壓下使用，也可以設置為 S-trig 使用。此外，USB Solo 還有一個 Sync24 輸出，所以舊款的 Roland 設備同樣也可以使用。
